Trata-se de um livro escrito pelo professor Takap Pi’yu e sua mãe, Matsilake Trumai, como pesquisa do curso de formação. Seu objetivo é valorizar a língua Trumai, também por meio da escrita. Atualmente os Trumai vivem em aldeias na região do Médio Xingu, no Parque Indígena Xingu.
